We currently see a number of patients in the Fenland area of Cambridgeshire on behalf of NHS Cambridgeshire and in the Mid Essex area on behalf of NHS Mid Essex.

Some General Practitioners (GPs) in this area are able to refer patients to us and this service is paid for by the Primary Care Trust- there is no cost to the patient.

If you have been referred to us we will:

• Contact you by telephone to arrange a convenient appointment
• Send you an appointment letter
• Send you information about any preparation required
• Send you a information about what a scan involves
• If necessary send you a map if it is a surgery you are unfamiliar with
• Give you contact details in the event you need to rearrange your appointment or cancel

Your scan will be performed by an Advanced Practitioner Sonographer who will explain the procedure to you. Please feel free to ask any questions. Some examinations will require you to give written consent.

The majority of patients have their scan appointment within 2 weeks for us receiving the referral and the report will be sent back to your GP within 48 hours.
