Professionals:

hpc-logoAll our scans are performed by fully qualified experienced sonographers who are all registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC). HPC are a regulator, and were set up to protect the public. To do this, they keep a register of health professionals who meet the HPC standards for their training, professional skills, behaviour and health.

Procedures & Protocols:

We have stringent protocols and procedures to ensure delivery to the highest standards of care.

Clinical protocols are in place to ensure the safety of the patient and standardisation of care. Clinical Governance procedures such as risk assessment, mandatory training of staff and incident reporting are vital to guarantee a first class professional service.

All staff undergo Information Governance training and strict procedure are in place to manage personal data. We have stringent Health and Safety policies, we use the expertise of an eternal Health and Safety advisor.

 

Up-to-date Equipment:

All our equipment is the latest in portable ultrasound scanners manufactured by GE.

The equipment undergoes weekly safety checks which are performed by the Sonographer. On a monthly basis a full Quality Assurance test is performed using a dedicated ultrasound tissue mimicking phantom which would highlight any degradation of the quality of the image and function of the machine.

The machine manufacturers also provide us a with a full maintenance and servicing contract ensuring we can maintain a high quality service to our customers.

 

Work Audits & Surveys:

Further Diagnosics:

We have a team of 2 Consultant Radiologists (Doctors who specialise in diagnostic imaging) who are available to review cases when a second opinion is required or advice is needed on further investigations.

Our Radiologists are also involved in our audit work by second reporting a proportion of examinations performed.
